How does Rewind work?

Rewind is always listening. It holds the last stretch of everything it hears — audio and MIDI — so when you play something good without hitting record, it's still there.

Think of it as a conveyor belt. Any second of audio or MIDI that reaches Rewind stays on the belt for the length you've set, then falls off the end. Nothing is written to disk until you choose to keep it.

You set the length under Settings → General → Recording length: 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 30, 60 or 90 minutes.

Changing that setting clears whatever is currently held, so pick your length before a session rather than during one.
