I lost what I recorded

Two things clear what Rewind is holding:

• Clear memory, in Pause mode.
• Changing the recording length in Settings → General.

Turn on Warn about losing recording in Settings → General and Rewind shows a dialog before either one takes your buffer.

Once cleared, it's gone — nothing is written to disk until you export. That's the trade-off that lets Rewind run all day without filling your drive.

Stopping it filling with silence

If you're losing good material because the belt fills with nothing, turn on Gate in Record mode. Rewind then only records when there's something above the threshold, and Gate hold length in Settings → General sets how long it keeps going once the level drops.
