Registering and authorizing Rewind

1. Open the plugin. The activation screen appears on first launch — click Activate.
2. Enter the activation code from your order.
3. Click Next and sign in to your iLok account.
4. Select the Rewind licence and choose where to store it: on your computer, or in iLok Cloud.

Choose your computer if you want to work offline. A licence stored on the machine needs no dongle and no internet connection afterwards.

Permissions

Rewind will ask for permission to use your microphone (macOS before Ventura) or to monitor your screen (Ventura and later). It needs this to hear your system audio — without it, Rewind records silence.

Installing on a second computer

Your activation code is consumed the first time you use it, and the licence is then held in your iLok account. On a second machine, press Skip, No or Next when asked for the code, then sign in to iLok on the following screen.
